(RNs) Registered nurses have many responsibilities, they advice patient about the medical conditions, work to make them aware about how they can prevent from illness, promote good health and healthier methods, they teach and educate patients and their families and other people about medical conditions and provide emotional support to families of patients. We can say that RNs provide wide variety of services.

RNs focus on overall conditions and care of patients, they keep records of symptoms and progress under supervision of doctor, many RNs are usually general-duty nurses they also supervise (LPNs) licensed practical nurses, orderlies and nursing aides.

RNs are responsible for maintaining overall medical condition of patient and they have to maintain accurate reports and records in detail. They monitor symptoms, changes occur in symptoms and changes in patients conditions. They Change and revise patient medical treatment plans by responses of patient and patient medical conditions and symptoms. 

They also take care of diet and physical activity of patients and they coordinate with healthcare team for assessment of patients condition, implement and evaluate patient care plans. They also supervise less skilled nursing personnel. They also do research about topic of nursing and nursing methods.

Certified Nurse-Midwives usually educate routine health care issue and cure for women, their focus is mainly on pregnancy and babies deliveries, they teach about newborns care, child birth and other common sibling mind preperation.

In case of emergencies they are trained to provide assistance until doctor arrive

Advance practice nurses get special training, which is beyond their RN studies. They consider health care practitioners and can work independently or can work with physicians. There are four types / categories of advanced practice nurse

Nurse-practitioners clinical nurse specialists Certified Nurse-Midwives Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists
