Question by Kenobi: How can I marry my asian girlfriend, if I’m Black? Frustrating.?
Ok, here’s my deal. My girlfriend asian, me black. Now I keep reading about how — “Oh it’s 2007! Anyone can date whoever they like, and marry whoever they wish to marry.” And I find that statement to be easily thrown around, without anyone thinking about the whole picture.

My girlfriend’s parents are VERY much against me marrying my girlfriend, and I know most asian people will tell you they listen, and respect their parents/elders. My girlfriend’s mom told her “You need to marry someone who has alot of money and an education.” Although I’m going to school to be an RN, that isn’t enough for them, and I’m only 19 and my girlfriend 20.
